A week ago, I went from Detroit up to Higgins Lake, pulling the trailer behind the bike.  It was 92* when I left bright and sunny. The trip was only 172 miles, but I had to stop 3 times to put on sunblock.  I would ride for about 20 miles and I could see the sunblock just roll down my arms and into my gloves.  Luckily, when I got about half way, I ran about 3 minutes of rain and crossed the Zilwaukee Bridge.  The temps dropped about 10* and made the rest of the ride bearable.

The ride turned out to be just over 750 miles for the 6 days.

Been nice here...if ya like a marine layer. We've had a thick marine layer for weeks with a on shore flow. Sun's been coming out by 1:00 pm, some days it'll come out at 4:00 pm, be out for a hour, then the marine layer is back in. When Sun's out...temps mid to high 70's, marine layers in, temps in the 50's.
I'm outta here tomorrow morning on a 12 day ride, be nice to have some sun more than four hours a day. I shouldn't bitch, I really like riding in cool weather much better than hot. For me anything over 75 is getting on the hot side.
Ain't nothin' but a thing
