Title: Finally getting settled into the new digs in Tennessee.
Post by: Photog101 on February 18, 2017, 08:00:02 AM
Hopefully I can drop in on this board more often than I have in the past 3+ years.    Since 2010, my family has decreased in numbers and I have just about gone out of my ever-lovin-cotton pickin-mind.

My daughter got married in 2015 and finally no longer has to be a working SINGLE mom.  My son James, is still fighting the VA for treatment.  He got his 100% T&P rating a couple of years ago.  He moved to Cincinnati to be close to a supposedly good pain clinic.  He no more than moved there and signed a lease on a house than the Admins in Cinci got slapped for illegal actions in the hospital.  So he now drives 4 hours to Ann Arbor where he started his treatment.  When his lease is up he will probably be moving back.

My experiences here in the Tennessee Valley VA are not that much better.  I will be going for my third Veteran's Choice, due to mileage and they can't schedule any of my appointments for less than 4-5 months.  Right now I am having a problem in getting a colonoscopy because I don't have a driver to sign me out after the procedure.  Since it is rated as outpatient, they can not hold me over for observation.  It is one fight after another.

I have been looking at upgrading the bike, but I had to buy a farm tractor and had to have a roof put on the house.  So my price range is limited.  I am looking at re-financing the house and getting rid of the $30,000 tractor bill and the two credit cards that take up my mad money.  I have been looking at 2009 and newer Fat Boys.  If  work the re-fi right, I would also like to get  an antique airplane, since I already had a license for single engine fixed wing and sailplanes, to cut down on travel times.

I am waiting on my paperwork to go through for Firebase Faith LLC, my EIN, then I'll apply for a 501c19 so that I can get insurance for the vets that come to the property.  I hope to have one barn converted into a dormitory by June but I'm not sure that I'll have the electric hooked up.  I am enlarging the pond and still working on a 100 yard Gun and Bow range.  I have the bon-fire area ready to go.  Just got to get some benches out there.  All the drives need new stone and cleaned up.

So I have been busy, but I would like to see this group get back together.    If there is anyone on this board that needs anything, feel free to contact me.  I am in Middle Tennessee and my cell number is:
734-718-4945.

Damn Doc. Surely we can find a driver in the area.

Very impressed with the work you have been putting into the plot. Looks awesome. I hope to get out there in June.

Thinking I may clear the bike trailer and drag Blue out east in June. Going to be doing a daytime drive by at Doc's then. Few days in Sevierville. Haven't finalized plans yet but it may be a must.
